This has great historical value, since the original chapel was built here in the middle of Vegueta during the first years of the conquest of Gran Canaria. On its façade, a plaque commemorates Christopher Columbus in the city.
The chapel, a simple and sober building, homes a beautiful baroque altarpiece. It is situated in a cosy cobbled square next to one of the CAAM exhibition halls and to the Columbus House-Museum.
